A young Polish man who sustained ten stab wounds in a weekend attack was described today as being in a critical condition as two teenagers who have been charged with assault appeared at Cork District Court.

Inspector Michael McGuire said the injured party, Damian Wilkonski, (aged 23), who was attacked at Pope’s Quay, Cork, in the early hours of Saturday morning had another operation at Cork University Hospital on Monday.
