Two in court in connection with Cork stabbing
Two teenagers have appeared in court following a knife attack in Cork.
Damian Wilkonski (aged 23) is in a serious condition in hospital after he was stabbed in the early hours of this morning on Pope's Quay in Cork city.
He is believed to have been stabbed up to 10 times in the attack, which took place around 1am.
Two teenagers were arrested at Gurranabraher Garda Station and appeared before a special sitting of Cork District Court this afternoon.
Jack Healy (aged 18), from Dominic Street in Cork, and Patrick Tobin (aged 19) from Georges Quay, Cork were both charged with assault causing harm.
Mr Healy has been remanded on bail while Mr Tobin has been remanded in custody. Both are due before court again next Tuesday.
