Balloonist to commemorate Ireland's first manned flight
A hot air balloonist is launching a flight this afternoon in commemmoration of Ireland's first ever manned flight in 1785.
More than 30,000 turned out to support Richard Crosbie in the Ranelagh Pleasure Gardens over 200 years ago.
This afternoon balloonist Tom McCormack is hoping for good weather ahead of his flight from Ranelagh at 2pm.
