Man shot in Limerick
Gardaí in Limerick have launched an investigation after a man was shot in the city last night.
He was rushed to hospital following the incident which happened near Thomand Park.
The 25-year-old received injuries to the side of the head and shoulder in a shooting incident shortly before 11pm.
It is thought he was in a car which was being pursured by another car in the Ballynanty area of the city, near Thomond Park
The other car is believed to have boxed the first vehicle in and fired shots into the car.
The man was rushed to the mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick
The area has been sealed off and will be examined today.
