Man dies after road accident in Meath

A man in his 40s has died following a crash in Co Meath.

The single-vehicle incident involving an articulated lorry occurred on the N52 near Fordstown at 6.30pm yesterday evening.

The driver was seriously injured and taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar where he died this morning.

The road is currently closed with diversions in place.
