Cork student scoops Young Scientist award
A technology project from Cork has won this year's BT Young Scientist of the Year award.
Richard O'Shea, 18, from Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal in Blarney scooped the prize with his project on a biomass fired cooking stove for developing countries.
Judges say he impressed with his research, science knowledge and engineering skills.
The announcement was made at a ceremony at the RDS in Dublin earlier this evening.
