Bus disruption expected in east

Bus services in the east of the country may be "significantly restricted" this evening as weather and road conditions are expected to deteriorate, Bus Éireann said in a statement.

"Bus Eireann will endeavour to operate as many peak time services from Dublin as possible this evening subject to weather and road conditions in Dublin city centre," the statement said.

"However, services in the east of the country may be significantly restricted after the evening peak by road and weather conditions, particularly those that would normally operate through Dublin city.

The company said it would continue to monitor this situation closely.

Currently, in the east, there is disruption and delays to local services in Louth, on the Dublin-Wicklow (133), Dublin-Rosslare, Dublin-Ballivor and Dublin-Mullingar, Dublin-Ratoath services.

The majority of services in rest of the country are operating with delays in some areas. There are cancellations of some local services in Cork county and Mayo.

Customers are advised to contact their local travel office for information on individual services or visit www.buseireann.ie.
