Icy conditions continue on roads

Drivers are again being warned of treacherous conditions on the roads today.

Among the areas worst hit by icy conditions are Listowel in Co Kerry, Kilkenny and Arklow and Aughrim in Co Wicklow. The AA is advising anyone in those areas to postpone their journies.

In Cork, Watergrasshill to Glenville Road in Cobh is still closed, while hazardous driving conditions are also being reported in Mallow and Bantry.

Aside from the weather conditions, motorists are also being reminded not to drink and drive.
