O'Keefe: Time not right for banking inquiry

A Government Minister says it is not the right time for an inquiry into what went wrong in Ireland's banking sector.

Batt O'Keeffe says such a probe would distract officials in the Department of Finance, who are trying to get Nama up and running.

The new Governer of the Central Bank Patrick Honohan says many questions remain unanswered, and a wideranging inquiry is necessary for society at large.
