Wicklow gardaí arrest man in connection with disappearance

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Stephen O'Meara from Wicklow have arrested a man.

He was detained at around 10.30am this morning in Wicklow town.

He is being questioned under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be detained for up to seven days.

Twenty-six-year-old Stephen O'Meara - a father of three - has been missing since early August.
