A car was hijacked by assailants brandishing a handgun and hammer in west Belfast, it was revealed today.

A car was hijacked by assailants brandishing a handgun and hammer in west Belfast, it was revealed today.

At around 9.40pm yesterday the driver of a grey Seat car stopped close to Cavendish Street. He was threatened and fled the vehicle.
