Bomb alert causes transport disruption

There is a security alert in the North this morning after a suspicious object was found on the railway line outside Belfast.

Police were alerted in the early hours of this morning to an object around a hundred metres outside Botanic Station.

The area has been sealed off and will remain closed until around midday.

Trains are disrupted as a result.

The 6.50am Belfast - Connolly service operated as a bus transfer to Dundalk.
