Cautious welcome for GDP rise

Tánaiste Mary Coughlan said today said the Government is being "cautious" about new figures indicating that the country may be emerging from recession.

While the economy has declined in the past year, the Central Statistics Office today said there was slight growth of 0.3% in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the third quarter.
