Two due in court in connection with attack on elderly couple in Longford

Two Dublin men are due to reappear in court today charged in connection with an aggravated burglary on the home of an elderly couple's in Co Longford.

Christian Wren (aged 31) of Ballyfermot Drive and 24-year-old Anthony Flannery, of no fixed abode, were both charged with assaulting a 74-year-old woaman and her 65-year-old husband at their home in Fisherstown in Clondra on December 11.

Both are due before Cloverhill District Court later.
