Customs seize €70k of cocaine at Dublin Airport

It has emerged that a kilogramme of cocaine was recovered at Dublin Airport this week.

Officers from Revenue's Customs Service seized the drugs, worth €70,000, on Monday from a South African man who had arrived from Johannesburg.

The cocaine was concealed in the soles of his shoes.

The man appeared in court yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear in court again on Friday.
