Leading trade union official warns of further strikes

National secretary of IMPACT, Peter Nolan, is today warning of significant disruption to public services throughout next year if the Government cuts public-sector pay.

The Finance Minister is widely expected to cut wages for public servants by 6% in Wednesday's Budget.

It has also been reported today that unemployment benefit will be cut by 4% and child benefit will be reduced by 10%.
