Four-year-old boy dies in road accident
Two people are being treated in hospital this morning following a road accident which claimed the life of a four-year-old boy.
The crash, which involved a van and a jeep, happened on the N4 Dublin/Sligo road close to Mullingar shortly after 5pm yesterday evening.
The child was fatally injured, his father and a neighbour who were also in the car, were taken to hospital but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
