Government must keep promises in Budget, say disability groups
Disability groups are calling on the Government to live up to its promises for some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
On International Day of People with a Disability, campaigners say they cannot afford any more cuts to services and supports in next week's Budget.
Inclusion Ireland, which represents 26,000 people with an intellectual disability, says it is time the Government proved that disability is a priority issue.
Spokesperson Siobhan Kane says people are struggling to cope with cutbacks that have already been introduced.
