Water starting to flood south Galway

Areas around south Galway are now flooding as water levels continue to rise.

Those living in flood-hit areas in the west, mid-west and south are bracing themselves for more flooding from more rain.

Emergency chiefs say the next week will be crucial in the crisis but stress it could still be weeks before water levels in the lower Shannon return to normal as high tides are expected next week in Limerick and Clare.
