Survivors of clerical abuse demanded tonight that senior clergy and gardaí who allowed known paedophile priests to prey on defenceless children be brought to justice.

Victims said those in power who protected the Catholic Church ahead of youngsters are as guilty as the priests who carried out the sex assaults.
