Water tankers diverted to fight fire in Cork

Tributes have been paid to Cork City Fire Service after they managed to extinguish a fire which gutted a building on the Northside of the city, despite the water crisis.

Tributes have been paid to Cork City Fire Service after they managed to extinguish a fire which gutted a building on the Northside of the city, despite the water crisis.

The Kitchen Centre at the Hollymount Industrial Estate was gutted after a blaze broke out at half past nine this morning.

Three Dairygold Water Tankers, which are providing fresh water to residents in the area, were called in to assist the fire service.
