Man arrested in Leitrim over North shooting

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in County Leitrim in connection with a ambush on police in the North.

Shots were fired at the PSNI in the Fermanagh village of Garrison overnight.

The officers returned fire and none were injured.

The man was arrested before 7am this morning and is being held at Carrick-On-Shannon garda station.
