A conference of religious organisations has heard how vocations are on the rise, despite the shocking findings of the Ryan commission on clerical abuse in State institutions.

The Director of Vocations Ireland said the main challenge now focuses on 20 to 30-year-olds, and religious orders are becoming more pro-active in their approach to recruitment.
