First anniversary of Shane Geoghegan death
Today marks the first anniversary of murdered rugby player Shane Geoghegan.
The 28-year-old was shot in a case of mistaken identity in Limerick on November 9 last year.
Family and friends of Mr Geoghegan will gather today for a Mass to mark a year since he was shot dead after watching a rugby match with friends in Dooradoyle.
The private Mass will be held at Garryowen rugby club, where he worked as captain.
Last month, the Shane Geoghegan Trust was launched at the club by Sunderland chief Niall Quinn.
A 24-year-old Dublin man has been charged with his murder and will stand trial at Central Criminal court next April.
