Gardaí hurt in Dublin crash

Two people have been hospitalised following a crash involving a garda car.

Gardaí were attending a minor accident on the N7 at the Red Cow in Dublin at around 2.15am this morning when their patrol car was hit from behind by another car just before 3am.

Two gardaí received minor injuries while two others people were taken to hospital, one with serious injuries.

Gardaí say as a matter of protocol the Garda Ombudsman Commission was informed and has launched an investigation.
