Swine flu vaccinations begin today
The swine flu vaccination programme begins today.
The HSE is urging people in at-risk groups to get vaccinated now, as the number of cases of the virus is expected to surge from now on, with the highest infection rates among schoolchildren.
More than 2,300 GPs now have stocks of the vaccine and 45 HSE clinics will also be delivering the jab.
Those most at risk include anyone who is pregnant, or who has an underlying serious medical condition, or who is on cancer treatment.
