Fire guts Westmeath premises

A commercial premises in Moate, Co Westmeath, has been extensively damaged by an overnight fire.

Around half of the town remains sealed off this morning following the blaze, with motorists being advised to use the bypass where possible.

Four businesses are believed to operate from the building that was damaged by the fire, the cause of which is still unknown.

Nobody was injured during the blaze.
