Woman held after bomb discovery in Limerick

Gardaí in Limerick are questioning a woman in her late teens following the discovery of a improvised bomb in the city last night.

Gardaí in Limerick are questioning a woman in her late teens following the discovery of a improvised bomb in the city last night.

The device was found after gardaí stopped the women in St Mary's Park.

Army bomb disposal experts were called to the scene at around 8.30pm to make the explosive device safe.

The woman detained in connection with the incident is being held at Henry Street garda station.
