The trial of a Derry man accused of the murder of a 30-year-old woman in the city last year has opened and been adjourned for a day at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin.

Stephen Cahoon (aged 37) of Harvey Street, Derry has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Jean Teresa Quigley on July 26, 2008 at a house in Cornshell Fields, Derry.
