Gardaí to carry out searches for missing man

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of a 26-year-old man in Co Wicklow will carry out major searches of a number of forest and mountainous locations tomorrow.

Stephen O'Meara was last seen on the evening of Thursday August 6, leaving his home in Rosehill in Wicklow town.

He is described as 6ft 2in in height, of athletic build with sandy-coloured receding hair.

When last seen he was wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a dark grey zip-up tracksuit top and a thick gold chain.

Gardaí from the Divisional Search Unit assisted by the Garda Mounted Unit and mountain rescue volunteers will carry out the searches around the Redcross area.
