Flats complex evacuated after Derry arson attack

More than 30 people were moved from their homes in Derry overnight following an arson attack on a block of flats.

More than 30 people were moved from their homes in Derry overnight following an arson attack on a block of flats.

The fire was broke out in a storeroom at the complex on Little James Street sometime before 10.30pm.

Nobody was injured, but the Fire Service says the blaze was started deliberately.

Residents were allowed to return to their homes after fire-fighters extinguished the flames.
