Woman dies in north Dublin house fire

A woman in her 50s has died in a house fire in the Ballymun area of north Dublin.

The blaze broke out just before 10pm last night at the house on Balbutcher Lane.

The woman received serious injuries and was rushed to the Mater Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

There was nobody else in the house at the time.

The scene has been sealed off for technical examination to determine the cause of the blaze.
