Woman dies in Clare crash

A woman has died and a man is seriously injured following a two-car collision on the N18 near Ennis in Co Clare last night.

The crash happened close to the Tulla Road interchange at around 9.30pm.

The female driver of one of the cars died at the scene, while the driver of the other vehicle is being treated for serious injuries at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
