Protestant schools suffering more, says PPA
The Protestant Parent's Association (PPA) has accused the Government of making things more difficult for children attending Protestant schools than those in Catholic and voluntary schools.
The PPA said education cutbacks are having a more dramatic impact on students in Protestant secondary schools where the pupil teacher ratio has increased to 20-to-1. They say the ratio is 19-to-1 in other schools.
PPA spokesperson Eleanor Petrie says the Government must review the situation.
"We're looking to see how these cuts have impacted on our school and how we can ask the Government to review what has happened," she said.
