Tyrone assault victims dies in hospital
A man assaulted close to a nightclub in Co Tyrone died in hospital today.
Police said they were now treating as murder the death of Leslie Parkes, 23, who was struck in Molesworth St, Cookstown earlier this month.
A man aged 20 was charged last week with assaulting him. Mr Parkes from Knockmoyle, Co Tyrone died in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
Police said several people were in the area at the time the victim was hit in the early hours of September 19.
