IMPACT public servants to begin strike ballot

The IMPACT trade union is due to begin balloting its members in the public service today on possible strike action to oppose further government cuts.

The union says it will only implement a strike mandate if the Government moves to impose compulsory redundancies, cuts in working hours or further reductions in pay or pensions.
