New alliance to fight cuts in frontline services

Trade unions representing health workers, Gardai, soldiers and prison officers have joined forces to fight against Government cutbacks to frontline services.

The unions have set up a group called the 24-7 Frontline Services Alliance and will announce details of their campaign later today.
