Financial Ombudsman Meade to retire in January

The Financial Ombudsman Joe Meade has announced his retirement.

Mr Meade says he will step down on his 60th birthday, which is January 2 next.

He has served over 42 years in the public service, and became Ireland's first Financial Ombudsman in May 2005.
