FG bill aims to reform appointments to state boards

Fine Gael is due to table a private members' bill in the Dáil this evening aimed at eliminating political cronyism in appointments to state boards.

The party says all appointees to such boards should be vetted by all-party Oireachtas committees to ensure they are earning the position on merit.
