Hillary Clinton expected to visit Ireland next month

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to visit Dublin next month.

According to the Irish Voice newspaper in New York, Mrs Clinton will also visit Belfast and London on October 11 and 12 on a three-city whistle-stop tour.

It is expected her main priority will be the state of the peace process and the danger posed to it by the continuing threat of dissident Republican groups.

Mrs Clinton is expected to be accompanied on her visit by Tipperary man Declan Kelly, who was recently named US Special Envoy to Northern Ireland.
