Cowen hints at further public-sector pay cuts

The Taoiseach Brian Cowen has again hinted that the Government is planning further cuts in public-sector pay in this December's budget.

The Fianna Fail-Green Party coalition has already imposed pension levies ranging from 3% to almost 10% on all public-sector employees who earn more than €15,000-a-year.
