Staff to picket shoe shop
Staff at Connolly shoe shops in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin will go on strike today due to threatened pay cuts.
Eight members of staff will picket at the two shops, represented by the union Mandate and claim the company has refused to negotiate with them on the 10% pay cuts.
They also said that some workers are only being paid for three days work despite working for five.
Politicians and local representatives have also been invited to attend the picket.
Mandate spokesperson Joe Donnelly said that if management do not meet with them they will take further action next weekend.
