Dept 'discriminated against special-needs students'

The Equality Tribunal has upheld three complaints of discriminatory treatment against the Department of Education.

The tribunal found that the department discriminated against three students with special needs by obliging them to leave school when they turned 18, unlike their counterparts in mainstream schools.
