Cowen: New legislation will bring big changes to FÁS
The Taoiseach Brian Cowen has said major changes will be made to the board of the State training agency FÁS.
Speaking in Cork today, Mr Cowen said the legislation to allow these changes to take place is a priority and will be passed in the coming weeks.
However, he has stopped short of supporting the Environment Minister John Gormley's calls for the resignation of the current board.
It follows a report into FÁS that revealed massive overspending at the public body, including a €600,000 TV ad that was never broadcast.
