Army diffuses bomb in Donegal

Army bomb disposal experts have diffused a bomb this afternoon in Donegal.

The Army Bomb Disposal Unit was called to the scene outside the EBS on the Main Street where the pipe bomb was found.

The viable improvised explosive device (IED) was removed from the scene for further examination and was found to contain explosives.

The area was evacuated and once the device was made safe it was removed to Finner Camp and handed over to gardaí for investigation.
