Security alert over as object declared a hoax

A suspicious object which caused a security alert in Co. Antrim has been declared a hoax.

Several houses were evacuated after the object was found in the driveway of a house in the Ferndale Gardens area of Carnmoney in Newtownabbey at around midday.

Army technical officers were called to the scene and have declared the object a hoax.
