Two dead in separate drowning incidents

Two men are dead following separate drowning tragedies in Co. Tipperary.

A 60-year-old man drowned at the pier in Garrykennedy on Lough Derg in the north of the county about 2am this morning.

Meanwhile, the body of a 50-year-old man was recovered from the River Suir near Athassel in the west of county at approximately 5pm yesterday evening.
