Car plunges into harbour
Police are looking for the driver of a car that plunged into a Co Down harbour this morning.
Officers received reports the man fled the scene at Ardglass after the red Skoda crashed into the sea, striking a boat as it entered the water.
The incident prompted a major search operation at around 9.30am amid initial fears there could have been someone in the submerged vehicle.
The PSNI has now ruled out that possibility after a dive team recovered the car from the water with a winch.
The keys were still in the ignition.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police.
