Govt eases rules for redundant work-permit holders

Migrant workers who hold a work permit and are made redundant have been given some extra breathing space to find a new job.

At present, workers from outside the European Economic Area (the 27 EU member states plus Norway and Iceland) have just three months to find a new job or leave the country.
