Man held over ‘threatening’ approach to three women

Gardaí in Athlone are continuing to question a 24-year-old man in connection with an incident in which three young women were approached in a "threatening manner".

The two teenagers and a woman in her early 20s were walking near the Bonavalley Bridge shortly after midnight on Monday when a man drove alongside them in a car.
